I love what I do. I live to help people and have found this work to be the most fulfilling and spiritually rewarding work I've ever done. But it's not for everyone.

This work is a calling. It requires far more skills than just being a good organizer for your own things. It requires:

  • Excellent listening and communicating skills
  • The ability to teach others organizing principles
  • The ability to guide people to making their own decisions about organizing solutions
  • Being able to recommend or design and create unique organizing solutions in partnership with your client based on their organizing styles
  • Knowing when you are in over your head and need to refer the client to a more experienced specialist
  • Consulting skills that enable you to avoid becoming a "quick fix" organizer who organizes their stuff and can't understand why they aren't able to maintain the system you create for them.
  • Business skills such as client administration, marketing, bookkeeping, delegating, keeping an eye on expenses and profitability, etc.

Working with me as your coach, you will learn whatever is most important to you based on your personal needs. Topics may include any of the following:

  • How to communicate with clients to clarify expectations and strengthen their commitment

    • How to manage your appointment calendar
    • Marketing your business
    • Personal safety
    • What to carry in your organizer's tool kit
    • How to set up client administration and record keeping including tools to help you do that
    • Registering and insuring your business
    • How to organize your financial and management information systems including setting up Quickbooks Simple Start

You may also become eligible to apply to participate in the following Neat & Simple programs some of completed and some of which are under development.

  • Marketable Experience: Opportunities to work with clients and get feedback you can use in testimonials as well as photos for your website.
  • Credential: You may receive a certificate and the right to say you are a "Neat & Simple Professional Organizing Program" graduate and use the logo on your website if you successfully complete the requirements in effect at the time of your beginning the program. Sample requirements include: 10 hours of coaching and 12 hours of client service with excellent feedback. I reserve the right to modify the requirements based on the aptitude and skills you demonstrate during our calls.
  • Referrals: Once you have achieved excellent feedback from clients, are comfortable and ready to work on your own, you may also elect to participate our referral program to build your own client base.
  • Your Own Listing or Web Page on this site: Opportunity to be listed on this website and have your own web page. The model for this is currently under development.
  • Affiliate program where you can earn generous commisions simply by linking to www.neatandsimpleguides.com on your website.

What's included:

1. You get to choose the agenda based on your individual needs and interests.
2. You will receive access to Neat & Simple e-books, service agreement templates, custom designed client forms and more for a significantly reduced price. Some digital books and forms will be provided free.
3. You may request to have MP3 recordings of our sessions available for listening over the internet. They will be taken down after one - two weeks.

5 hours within 3 months
Conducted in 3 sessions by telephone at a mutually agreed upon time. Program should be completed within 3 months but can be accelerated.

1. Programs must be paid in advance via Check, Credit Card or PayPal.
2. You will call in to the designated phone number at the scheduled times.
3. You will complete a thorough questionnaire prior to our work together to aid in personalizing your program.
4. You will be asked to complete agreed upon reading and homework assignments based on your goals.
